Shilpa Shetty at Big Brother is what every other newspaper and magazine is talking about today. I know I am following the same thing as I write this one. The recent racial comments by members of the celebrity series have created a big uproar worldwide. It has once again brought to picture the ugly face of racial discrimination. On Miss Shetty's part, she has been paid a hefty sum for participating in this series and she has opted for take-shit-for-money by still being there, after showing off all that fuss over the TV. It is conspicuous to face such racism and everyone knows how bad racism is in UK. And then everywhere you see Jade Goody being called a harridan, spewing sewer-mouthed venom.
But what I feel is, Jody is a good mother for Shetty. After all, her comments enabled Shetty not only to win the series but also bag a number of offers from various agencies.
Are we in India not racial? Or is racism not there in the world? You give different names at different places. "Paki" in UK, "Nigger" in US.

Seasons
So here I am back in Hyderabad after spending 3 weeks at home in Delhi with my parents and my lovely sister. The whole city was covered with fog in the morning and late in the evenings. I had a great time at home spending my morning sitting in the sun, sipping coffee. Evenings, it was all moongfali and gacchhak(I got a few packets with me to Hyd as well) and razai and those never ending sas-bahu tv-shows. But now here in Hyd, with temperatures already touching 34 degrees during the day in January, don't know what the plight will be during May-June. I am back, back to my daily routine of home to office, office to home. Waiting for the long weekend when I can go out with friends and enjoy the scorching heat.
